I`ve got the following state of MySQL: Start and Connect item are shown and in the same time the databases are shown.
steps to reproduce : 
1) configure the MySQL by setting the root password
2) set it in the server properties within the IDE (Basic Properties tab), press OK : databases are shown
3) go to server properties again at remove the password.
