There are 2 tabs currently for Groovy and for Grails. Groovy will be part of Java SE pack and Grails will be part of Java EE pack. Should I add one tab for each in Misc? On Mac is Misc really ugly and I think adding anything else there is very bad idea. Why don't we have vertical column with categories on the left side, or something else then tabs? Tabs don't scale.
However, both tabs have very little information, and look kind of empty. Also, I would say that there is some desirable interaction between the three fields (Groovy Home, Groovy Doc, Grails Home), e.g. in some cases I may want to specify Grails Home and Groovy Doc but not Groovy Home, or it would be useful to autodetect documentation that is installed inside of Groovy Home, and these interactions will be easier to do within one panel. Would it be possible to somehow hack it, i.e. have the Grails Home field in the same panel as the other fields, but only show it if the Grails modules are installed, otherwise keep it hidden?
Moved both Groovy and Grails tabs from Groovy category to Miscellaneous. http://hg.netbeans.org/main/rev/cd4341fd8abe Now I need to merge them somehow, but I'll need to find the bast way to do that.
