There are no "trunk/branches/bak" etc. folders in my repository.

For comparison see TortoiseSVN's REPO browser's view in the
attachment.

even if this is a side effect of #141882, it's still WAD. Those files are recognized as new and in case you would commit
them the repository location would be created, wouldn't it?
