The search field on the top-right corner of the IDE has a confusing 
separator, just beside the search's magnifying glass icon. You can 
look at the attached screenshot and see that the '|' separator looks

like that the textfield is in focus. It looks like the "cursor 
blinker", even when the textfield is not in focus.

Hm, that is as was designed by our UI expert olangr, passing to him.

The separator has been added after consulting the visual designer to align with the border between the left and right
result areas (see http://ui.netbeans.org/docs/ui/quicksearch/storyboards/choosing_categories_abbreviation.gif). It is
absolutely useless now, after we decided to make results wider than the search field itself. 

Should probably be removed, we'll see if we'll make it for 6.5 ...

I played with this a little bit. Just removing the separator was not an option, since it is not clear then that the two
areas within QuickSearch actually work differently (one for "where" and the other for "what" to look for).

Attaching a fixed appearance. 

Also, as a part of this issue, please move the text one pixel down, it is part of what causes the confusion (the cursor
is too much up).
