Comment 1 Lukas Hasik 2008-07-15 07:49:23 UTC
is it reproducible?
Petre, could you try it on Vista?
Comment 2 Lukas Hasik 2008-07-15 12:16:30 UTC
krystyne, where you get the build from? What distro?
Comment 3 Petr Chytil 2008-07-15 12:30:45 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200807101204)
Java: 1.6.0_10-beta; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.0-b11
System: Windows Vista version 6.0 running on x86; Cp1250; cs_CZ (nb)
Userdir: C:\Users\Petr\.netbeans\dev

I was unable to reproduce it with this build (I played with JSP debugging before IDE shutdown).
Comment 4 _ krystyna 2008-07-15 16:11:33 UTC
This was the zip build - javaee
NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 20080711151305)
JDK 1.6.0_03
Windows Vista version 6.0

I still have the machine in the crrent state if you wanted
to look at it. I closed the IDE in the middle of a client-side
only debugging session with web project. I can't say if I can
reproduce it. Please contact me via email to get access to machine.

I'm seeing the same thing on Ubuntu 8.04 with JDK1.6b10 on the daily 07/17 build: I had the IDE running and tried to
quit without saving a file. The IDE offered to save the file for me first - which I accepted. The IDE exited. Now I
can't start it again. I get the same error when I run from command-line:
twolf@beowulf:~$ netbeans

Comment 6 ris 2008-07-18 07:37:05 UTC
I'm experiencing this issue after Issue 140672
Comment 7 Lukas Hasik 2008-07-18 08:03:28 UTC
this looks nasty - IDE won't start up anymore.
Does it happen when you start up NB with fresh userdir? use --userdir command line switch.
Is it reproducible? If it is reproducible only with the "old" userdir then zip it and email it to me.

thank you

Yes, restarting with a fresh userdir allows IDE startup again. Attaching my
original userdir.
