I got this exception three times today. I'm using the 6.5 daily build from July 25th. So that fix should have made it into that build (which I assume as this issue was set to fixed on July 22nd), then this should be reopened. All three exceptions have been appended to http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/detail.do?id=75073
There is no official build yet containing the mentioned changeset. When there is, a notation will be automatically added to this issue. I am not sure what would be in a "daily build" from July 25, as production builds have been failing for a few days for technical reasons. If you have a copy of NB sources, you can also check what changesets are in any particular build. Look up the build's last changeset (nb*/build_info), and use hg debugancestor <build_info_ID> <desired_ID> The build has the changeset if the result is <ID>.
unable to reproduce in Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200807280848) Java: 1.6.0_04; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 10.0-b19 System: Linux version 2.6.24-19-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb) Userdir: /tmp/ud tried all mentioned scenarios here. verified. BTW: Automated message when changes are propagated in production build requires that commit message starts with defined pattern. According to the automated bug reporting mechanism, this issue is still happening to me with NB 6.5 200809150201.

No idea how to reproduce it... it happened while I was debugging a JUnit (functional) test. After this exception occured, I was unable to set a new watch, local variables were empty, ... I had to restart IDE...

Happened during debugging. After this exception I cannot see any watches in debugger. I must restart the IDE. 137 duplicates.
Please try to reproduce with finer logging for nodes and explorer (-J-Dorg.openide.nodes.level=100 -J-Dorg.openide.explorer.level=100 as command line parameters) and attach log file.
