The plugin for Hibernate support is missing all the JPA components and therefore cannot be used as part of the Persistence support of NetBeans.

Note that the 3.2.5 (and 3.2.6) releases of Hibernate depend on a version of ASM that is incompatible with the Jersey Implementation of JSR-311, and 
therefore both cannot be used in the same project at the same time.

I've now use manual installation of hibernate... so couldn't care less about this being fixed.
