in general all command line based vcs tools should support this feature like
JavaCVS module (but there not all switch works because they must be first
implemented) but when using command line wrapper you could simply pass "all what
user writes" to external command.

I fired this issue because I found not all possibility of switchs or
non-standard switchs are not supported (eg. see issue #13948)
