Description bakarirum 2008-04-29 13:23:54 UTC
I am on a duo core Pentium with 2 gigs of RAM.

Every since I upgraded to the latest patch of 6.0 (Module version 1.0.3), I have had this problem. While I am editing
files in the IDE, my cpu will spike out and the whole IDE freezes. I have to wait between 10 - 40 seconds before I can
continue to use the IDE. This is not some random event. I close out the IDE and delete my VAR directory and restart
the IDE and everything is OK for a while. Usually within an hour, I am experiencing the same problems. I have asked
people on the NetBean's Users list if anyone had any ideas, but all I received were responses that they were
experiencing the exact same problem. Let me know what you want me to provide and I will provide it. I will continue to
work for a short while and then take 5 minutes to stop working and close the IDE and restart NetBeans and continue on.
I am not exaggerating. It literally take this long to perform these steps. I have to wait for the IDE to close down.
Delete the Var directory. Wait for IDE to start up. Once IDE has started up, I have to wait for it to index the files
again. This is definitely a P1 issue because it is directly affecting the usability of the product.

Thank you.

Please capture several threaddumps when IDE is frozen.

Also, please attach Netbeans log file - <userdir>/var/log/messages.log. I'm not sure what is wrong, but maybe Netbeans
6.1, which was just released, will fix the problem for you.

I'm sorry, but we can't do much without further information. If the problem is still reproducible please reopen the
issue and attach the thread dump and the IDE's log file. Thanks
