Description kroupv1 2008-04-21 12:08:05 UTC
JAWS screenreader does not recognize underlined text In Source editor, which is used to report errors.
Comment 1 Jaromir Uhrik 2008-05-12 15:52:12 UTC
It would be fine if the user can switch between 'normal' and 'a11y' mode where a11y mode would handle this features in a different way which is not so good
for people without disabilities but is great for disabled.
Comment 2 Vitezslav Stejskal 2008-05-18 18:18:11 UTC
Could you please be more specific about those two modes. What is the expected screenreader outcome in each mode? Thanks

The problem is not so much with netbeans as it is with JAWS. JAWS does not report underlining in any windows application other than possibly microsoft word but that is because special jaws scripts have been written for ms Word to enable this feature.

I am not sure there is anything that can be done to make this work on the netbeans side.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
