Currently, when I start typing into a file, it gets checked out automatically as "Reserved". It would be very nice (I believe that the old plugin had it) if I can configure whether default checkouts happen as Reserved or Unreserved.
agree. this also should apply to other automatic checkouts.

The options UI spec looks good. The only question that I have is on the "Format" field : is the expectation that it will be a MessageFormat type of string ? It would probably be nice to have a way to display the variable that are available to use in the format string.
not specified yet, but i would say something like [{status}, {version}, {whateverelase}] - the Add Variable button should give you a list and let you pick the variables you need ...
Is this configuration panel already implemented? Because I can't find it. Am I looking on the wrong place, or is it just not yet available? And if so, will it be implemented at the time nb6.1final is released?

btw - this is fixed
Maybe not the best place to ask, but I don't have a configuration panel there where you mention. I only see CVS, Local History and Subversion. ClearCase is missing in that list, does anybody knows why? I'm using nb6.1beta1 and version 0.9.0.42 of the clearcase plugin.
the clearcase options were introduced after beta1 a new module version (with the options panel) should be available in the next days from the update center with the coming release candidate
