After may be three days of using ide without restarting I mounted some folder
and try to explore it, the ide stoped repainting for cca 1 min. Attached are
three threaddumps from these period. It repeated more than once.

Honza,
please start the IDE with the patch and appropriate logging enabled:

-Dorg.netbeans.core.Packages=0

and try to simulate the problem again. In ide.log there should be messages with
additional information about the problem. Without them, I have no clue what is
going on.

Still occurs in dev 20010926 - but still irreproducible ;-(

Reassigning to David. May be that newly entered issue #15950 can be
related to this one.

Seems to really be the same problem. If anyone disagree please reopen
this one. Marking as duplicate.
