When editing code it's common to use your mouse to place the carrot then begin typing code. If the mouse is left over any code the tooltip appears and covers the line of code you are attempting to type. The tooltip should not appear or automatically hide while you are typing.
[Q: Didn't you mean "caret" instead of "carrot"? The idea of mouse placing a carrot anywhere in my code is not very convenient to me...] A variant of this issue occurs for example if there are some code folds and when the mouse cursor is over a collapsed code fold. The content of the editor fold is displayed in spite of the fact user is typing and thus it can cover the area where user types... I didn't have any problem with standard tool-tips.
Ha, yes I meant caret... To reproduce, leave the mouse over a line of code with errors. A tooltip appears with the compiler error, which can be quite large. If you navigate with the keyboard and try to code the tooltip remains hiding the code you are trying to type.
