Description lpolycarpou 2008-01-23 14:16:07 UTC
When creating a new Partner Link and the radio button "Use a Newly Created Partner Link Type" is selected, the name of
the WSDL displayed in the dialogue to be created / used does not show a .wsdl extension (which is confusing to the user).

Furthermore, when creating a new WSDL wrapper default entries should appear for Partner Link Type Name, and for Role
Name of the selected Role.
Comment 1 Sergey Lunegov 2008-01-23 15:08:01 UTC
Vladimir, please address it.
Comment 2 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2008-01-24 09:10:00 UTC
There was feature 88318 for Wrapper WSDL with UI specification
http://xdesign-tools.czech.sun.com:8080/JSPWiki/Wiki.jsp?page=IZ88318
it says:

"The file name should not show .wsdl. The .wsdl extension is assumed."

Names of Partner Link Type and Role are up to user.
Comment 3 Sergey Lunegov 2008-01-24 10:51:46 UTC
Vladimir, I agree with you around .wsdl extension. However default Partner Link Type Name and for Role Name are good idea.
Reopen the issue.
Comment 4 lpolycarpou 2008-01-24 12:15:58 UTC
It seems odd that you can type a filename into a box and the .wsdl extension is created for you. In other places where
this is done, we also see a label containing the file name that is to be created with the folder name and .wsdl
extension visible (e.g. the New WSDL Document wizard). How about showing this underneath so it is clear to the user
what is happening here. See attached screenshot for more info.

Suggested UI should be reviewed and approved by HIE.
Comment 7 Sergey Lunegov 2008-05-07 15:56:36 UTC
Vladimir, what do you mean about suggested UI ?
Comment 8 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2008-05-08 11:56:50 UTC
In attach (id=55487) wsdlwrapperfilename.jpg suggested by lpolycarpou represents new version of the dialog. I think that
HIE should look at it and approve/modify/reject. Now the dialog is enough complex and adding new UI components may make
it too heavy. It is the reason for UI review of the dialog.
Comment 9 Leon Barnard 2008-05-13 12:31:00 UTC
For this problem, I would prefer to see two changes made:

1. Change the UI component of Use Existing PLT and Use a Newly Created PLT to a drop-down box, which swaps out the
fields below it depending on which option is selected. I.e. when Use Existing PLT is selected, only PLT, My Role,
Partner Role, and Swap Roles button are shown. When Use a Newly Created PLT is selected, the other fields are shown only.

2. I'm ok with showing the file that will be created, but I think that using grey text below the field is better than
using a separate, read-only text box. For reference, look at how this dialog uses grey text below text fields.
