I would like to have one more a choice in the "Sorting" property sheet for a package in the Explorer view. The property "Sort Mode" provides the following options: Unsorted By Name By Type By Name (Packages First) I'm suggesting that there be a fifth choice that acts like I described in the original report: By Name (Files First)
*** [FFJ CUSTBUG] This issue is based on a FFJ customer's bug report ***
Justification: The only option for sorting directories in the Explorer view is directories/packages-first. MS Visual Studio actually sorts files first, then directories. The advantage of this is that it's very easy to see what package a given file is in. In the directory-first sorting scheme, a file may be widely separated from its parent directory by intervening directories, making it very hard to see which directory/package a file belongs to. Please allow an additional option for file-first sorting of directories/packages.
I don't think this is worthwhile thing to implement
