Description Sakthivel Gopal 2001-06-02 00:48:49 UTC
When Mounting Directories/JAR's

if users can use key/chars to trace the file/directory either for mounting or
double clicking for browsing the directory,

it would be very convenient.

sgopal, what do you mean by "to trace the file/directory"? Please
give a concrete example
Comment 8 Sakthivel Gopal 2002-01-17 19:16:41 UTC
Suppose, you want a mount a JAR and whild browing thru the folders you
have reached the folder where you have the JAR to be mounted.
Now the user needs to select the JAR, if there's some sort of
accelerator, like as he types 'xyz', the first file starting with
'xyz' gets selected. Please ensure that the current focus is shifted
and is visible to the user.
This is a common feature in Windows.
This would enhance usability.
The same applies for folders, when mounting directories.
