Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200711060000) Java: 1.5.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_13-119 System: Mac OS X version 10.5 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb) Problem: If you apply a design pattern to a schema when you are in a view other than Design View then switch to DV, trying to expand a node does not work the first try. On Mac OS the first time renders a cut-off expansion, while on Linux the first try does nothing. Both need to be clicked to collapse then click to expand and all is right. Steps: 1. Create a new schema 2. Add a few Elements and a few nested elements, maybe add a complex type or two. 3. While in schema view, apply a design pattern to the schema 4. Switch to DV and expand an element you will notice the problem
Created attachment 52622 [details] Bad rendering on first click
Created attachment 52623 [details] correct render after collapsing then re-expanding
Actually I can reproduce it even if you are in DV when you apply a design pattern. And linux and mac have the same behavior. I think the two incorrect expansions (1. cut-off expansion, and 2. no expansion) vary depending what design pattern is being applied and from what DP it was changing from.
Valid one, we should try to fix it for 7.0.
