Comments from Ken:

Just FYI while I am looking at Ivan's mail about nb6 l10n kit and about some special situations about uml l10n kit
in the past - in case its applicable for current l10n kit - your developers could tell you the details or if its even
still applicable - (I think Sheryl was working on l10n list
for the last release of it)

for uml before, there were a few special cases, that wont show as problems
with the kit as seen in Ivan's web page
but are about some files that are valid translatable files, ie html or Bundle.properties,
but that should not be in the uml kit even though they are in the product.
(since they don't really have anything that should be translated in them)

What I remember from before (might not be all):

- the uml report html iles - not all should be xlated.
(excluded from kit)

- some uml Bundle.properties should not be xlated.
(excluded from kit)

- but some files maybe not named as Bundle.properties need to be included in kit;I
thinkthere were some in uml before.

- maybe some others that need special include or exclude.

As you see in Ivan's mails, there is some new way of doing l10n.list stuff for nb6 and BE could
explain more about it if certain files need to be specially included or excluded.

some more historical data on items below, might not all be applicable to nb6,
this is just advisory based on past releases:

What I remember from before (might not be all):

- the uml report html files - not all should be xlated.
(excluded from kit)

none of these are in kit, but only some should be in it ?

org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/alldiagrams.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/allelements.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/body_template.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/help.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/index.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/overview-summary.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/overview.html
org/netbeans/modules/uml/reporting/templates/script_template.html

- some uml Bundle.properties should not be xlated.
(excluded from kit)

in past product some of these were noted to be skipped
exclude uml/projectui/src/org/netbeans/modules/uml/project/ui/resources/emptyProjec
t.html
exclude uml/core/src/org/netbeans/modules/uml/ui/support/archivesupport/Bundle.prop
erties
exclude uml/core/src/org/netbeans/modules/uml/ui/support/commonresources/Bundle.pro
perties
exclude uml/core/src/org/netbeans/moduleuml/propertysupport/**/Bundle*.properties

- but some files maybe not named as Bundle.properties need to be included in kit;I
thinkthere were some in uml before, for example
org/netbeans/modules/uml/tomsawyer/LabelBundle.properties

1. created below list to override global pattern

core/l10n.list ( no images need to be translated )
webreport/l10n.list ( include index.html and help.html )
tomsawyer/l10n.list ( include LabelBundle.properties )

2. moved three noi18n bundles in core module to Bundle_noi18n.properties per guideline

 Sheryl,

2 questions

1. even if the images not in the kit, since not modified, do they still need
to be in the lcoalized jar for them to be shown ?

I think for javahelp especially this might be needed.

2. can you or George update the jupiter wiki page about this in the places its noted
about various uml files (and add the green check mark) ?

thats how the mgmt is tracking this at a high level and bases the schedule
milestone completion on that doc.

thanks - Ken

You are right, those javahelp image files need to be in kit even though they don't need to be modified. Updated
uml/core/l10n.list to correct this mistake. Thanks.
