Description dfields 2001-05-02 15:35:24 UTC
Currently, the tabs in the source editor window for CVS files say things like "User [Locally modified; 1.37]". Because of this, if you have several CVS files open in one source editor, you get many rows of tabs.

Please implement an option for the source editor for "short names" for tabs, which would put only the main name of the file in there, so the above tab would then become only "User". This would look just as the non-CVS window.

Thanks

This is task for Core module.
Comment 2 Jesse Glick 2001-05-02 16:39:57 UTC
No, Java module--it is up to the provider of the editor support to define this.

Personally I would mark this WONTFIX and suggest to VCS guys that the (IMHO
annoying) lengthy annotations be truncated, or removed entirely (we have icon
badges anyway).

I think issue 19229 is the same as this one (and has also been
reassigned many times =) ).
