The editor's tool-bar tooltips are not consistent because some of them show the key strokes, some not. Specifically, key strokes are shown in the following buttons: Last Edit Find Selection Find Previous Occurrence Find Next Occurrence Toggle Highlight Search Previous Bookmark Next Bookmark Shift Line Left Shift Line Right Key strokes are NOT shown in the following buttons: Go back to XXX Go forward to XXX Toggle Bookmark Start Macro Recording (I'm not sure if a keystroke is assigned to this action) Stop Macro Recording (I'm not sure if a keystroke is assigned to this action) Comment Uncomment Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200709290000) Java: 1.5.0_07; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_07-87 System: Mac OS X version 10.4.10 running on ppc; MacRoman; en_US (nb) Userdir: /Users/crosati/.netbeans/dev
Go back, Go forward, Toggle Bookmark, Comment, Uncomment - should have one Start Macro Recording, Stop Macro Recording - don't have any
moving opened issues from TM <= 6.1 to TM=Dev
Still the case for 6.7 trunk (20090408), there are no shortcuts for Start Macro/Stop Macro and Comment/Uncomments. But it doesn't look like a problem with tooltips : these actions seems doesn't have shortcuts at all. (not in the main menu and not in netbeans/nb6.7/shortcuts.pdf)

This is still the case in 7.1.1 (I have updated this issue to reflect that), but what's not mentioned in the thread is it's inconsistent, at least for navigation button tooltips. Before I made the attached screenshots, I was consistently seeing that on one of them, the tooltip consistently showed the keyboard shortcut while the other consistently did not. As soon as I finished screenshotting, I came back and found that it no longer showed kb shortcuts in the tooltips in any step in the history ... I am on a Mac OSX Loepard
Target Milestone is just when an issue is resolved, which is clearly not for 7.1.1. Version should be left as 6.8 (or moved backwards only).
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
