Steps to reproduce:
1) Create feedreader example from template 
2) Create "Update Center" from template in Feedreader module pointet to file:///tmp/updates/updates.xml
3) Build FeetReader application V1.0 (and backup it)
4) Increase specification version of FeadReader module
5) Build nbms and AU descriptor for FeedReader app (V2.0), and copy it to file:///tmp/updates/....
6) Run FeedReader V1.0, set check AU on startup in Plugins dialog
7) Restart FeaderReader V1.0

No icon with new updates in left/down corner is visible.  It's regression against Nb 5.5.

Jirko, I'm sorry, REGRESSION is DEFECT. IMHO autoupdate means:
If there are available new updates user will be informed about them.

No UI spec. speaks about this. and was not planned for NB6. It's fixable. If you are insisting on it will cause a UI
change after FF. Isn't a New Plugins link in the Welcome page enough promotions? For the present it's RFE for me.
