While adding a remote Glassfish v2 server, on the GUI screen that asks for the remote server and port -  if you type in
the admin port field, the value is not accepted unless you press enter in the field.

I would expect that I would be prompted that the field had change "Would you like to update the value?" or preferably
just accept the entered value, which could be validated on hitting "Next>".
