Under no circumstances should the Uninstaller be left hidden within the Package Contents. This is against Apple UI Specs, and is completly counter-intuitive. Since the installer throws an exception, or at least complains, when installation is attempted if UNinstallation occured by simply removing the Application (as mos Mac Apps are removed), the uninstaller MUST be placed somewhere else.
where it should be placed? where do you expect it to be located at? According to Apple UI spec there is no uninstallers at all :)
Then it should not be *required*, or it should be a menu option, or ... I don't know, but hiding it in the Application Package directory is definitely wrong. NO Mac user will go looking in there for it. EVER.
Yea. Mac user will just move it to trash :)
As far as I know we don't have Mac uninstaller at all (for native Mac installer used in beta 1). Shura, Santafen could you clarify please?
mikk, yes, we don`t have uninstaller for mac native installer. but we still have it for NBI installers :)

marked with NO60 keyword since for 6.0 native mac installers are used.
One of the possible solutions is to use Automator functionality for that purposes : create new workflow named "Uninstall", put in the installation folder so that uninstallation process can be run via the following sequence: - Right click on the folder -> Automator -> Uninstall <product name> Now clear whether it is possible to store the workflow date in the installation folder (so that it would be visible in Automator menu) and whether it is possible to programmatically create that workflow. The other area for investigation is the Folder Actions.
