Description garneke 2007-09-07 21:35:55 UTC
Using v6.10 I created a new project with existing source. I selected all of the lines in one of the files and
reformatted it. Parts of constant text strings were deleted ( yes just parts! ) and Multiple lines of code where
deleted. The differences were just scary. I tried to difference it using the local history and when I saw how many
things were randomly deleted I closed the local history tab, and then tried to close the modified file's tab selecting
"Discard" when prompted to save changes. All of the changes were saved anyway!
This is a customer's code so I am not sure I can post it, but IMO the Code Reformat is not ready for prime time!

Reassigning to "java" for evaluation.

Yes, there were quite some bugs in code reformatter in M10, and while many of them have been fixed, some of them
unfortunately still exist in the current trunk builds. Unfortunately, from the report, I cannot say if the problems you
are experiencing are already fixed, known or unknown. I will close this issue for now, and I would like to ask you to
try beta 1 (when it is released) or a daily build and report particular cases where the reformat fails. Thanks.
