I hope this is in the right spot and that it hasn't been reported already. It was mentioned to me that the following feature has been incorporated into eclipse, and I would really like to see this in NetBeans as well: You hit ctrl-3 to bring up a box you type into and it's match-as-you-type against all the actions you can do, favoring those you use often. This is similar to what quicksilver for MacOS does, except instead of a full system search, it just searches the menu actions/commands. This same functionality is built into the Vista start search bar, and is provided by Launchy, and google desktop (all of these area also for the full operating system). It would be nice if typing did a character search of sorts instead of a string search so if I want to get at "Surround with try/catch", I can type in "swt" and it'll find it.
already implemented in current version of NB 6.8
