NB: 200708080237 Steps to reproduce: 1) Drop a comment element to the diagram editor 2) Type "Test" 3) Right click to the comment element -> Align -> Bottom for example, Notice that nothing happens. 4) Try other menu items such as: left, right ...., no alignment adjusted
As I see there is an existing open bug #98444 in which the align menu should be disabled if there is only one single element selected. In the following scenario which 3 elements are selected: 1) Drop 3 Comment elements to the diagram editor 2) Select all 3 them at once (see attached screenshot) and right click -> Align Trying Align -> left, right, horizontal center No alignment adjusted 3) If there aren't any alignment, it would be nice to see the menu items disabled
Created attachment 46436 [details] screenshot attached
I also notice that vertical center menu and horizontal center menu are swapped, e.g If selecting vertical center menu, I'm getting the horizontal center alignment.
The original comment appears to be talking about text alignment in the Comment node. The second comment is addressing the intended function of aligning nodes on the canvas. This is working for me with Comment nodes and Comment nodes with other node types. Please provide more specific details (OS and such). I am on WinXP and used a Class Diagram. All was fine. I opened a new issue to address the swapped horizontal/vertical center actions: Issue 113046
original issue was verified in build 070823 b2736 ok.
