-have an IDE build with REST modules
-start IDE w/ new userdir
-create new webproject

=> IDE becomes unresponsive/unusable during the initial classpath indexing

In the IDE log there one can see neverending printing of:

reateInitialObjects()

Peter, please note this only happen with fresh userdir.
