Description _ tboudreau 2007-07-17 11:59:29 UTC
Happens in 5.5 and daily build.

Start nb, start the app server, deploy something, undeploy it, shut down the app server, shut down netbeans.

Restart nb, click Services tab, navigate to Glassfish node, right click. Start menu items are disabled.

Right click again. Start menu items are enabled. 100% reproducible.
Comment 1 Sherold Dev 2007-07-17 13:06:23 UTC
I cannot reproduce the issue.

When you click the Services tab NetBeans performs a check whether the server is running or not. The menu items are
disabled during this check and the server icon is badged with an hourglass icon.

Can you please make sure that there is no hourglass badge when you click the GlassFish node for the first time?

Comment 2 _ tboudreau 2007-07-17 19:48:23 UTC
Try shutting down with the services tab on top in the explorer area. Problem seems to be 100% reproducible.

Also make sure it is the first thing you do after restart.
Comment 3 Jaroslav Pospisil 2007-07-18 10:34:18 UTC
I also can't reproduce the issue. I remember I've seen something like this before, but always as random issue
with no safe reproducible case.
Comment 4 Sherold Dev 2007-07-18 12:45:16 UTC
Tim, should I take it then that there is no badge on the server icon when this issue occurs?

Vince, haven't you seen this behavior? Can't this be connected to some particular version of GlassFish?
Comment 5 _ tboudreau 2007-07-18 17:22:09 UTC
Happens both in 5.5 with SJAS and in 6.0 with GlassFish v2. Just restart the IDE and make starting the app server the first thing you do.
Comment 6 Petr Hejl 2007-09-04 12:22:53 UTC
Tim, I reproduced the steps you described literally, but the things you describe did never happen. Can you reevaluate it
and check whether the small wait badge is displayed?
Comment 7 Petr Hejl 2007-09-19 16:23:29 UTC
No response and no reproducible scenario. Closing as WORKSFORME.
