IDE extremely sluggish and at times unresponsive.  No changes to system.

On further rteview, the issue seems to be associated with introspection and code completion. For example, typing a new 
objkect type results in Please wait ... flag and then never retruns the database type.

Also receive errors regarding saving ClassPath.

Passing to javacore, but IMO this is WONTFIX, becuase the problems are in the old MDR-based infrastructure. This code is
no longer used in Nb6.

Delete folder /var/cache/mdrstorage in you userdir. It may help. The correct content of this folder will be regenerated
on next IDE startup

This issue is not valid in current builds any more. Java support was completely
redesigned in 6.0 time frame. Please use NetBeans 6.0 and later.
