Description Vince Kraemer 2007-07-11 22:21:03 UTC
For this you need two "users"

user 1:

registers an sjsas 8.2 instance in netbeans

User 2:

registers a GF v2 instance
creates a web project that targets the instance
runs into trouble and needs help
builds a zip file with the project (minus the "private files")
sends the project to user 1

User 1 opens the project which could be full of red squiggles

User 1 probably should have gotten the Unresolved Server warning.

If the reverse situation had happened... User 1 sent the project to user 2, the Server Resolution should not be necessary.

this is related to issue 108830, but isn't as critical.
Comment 2 Vince Kraemer 2008-10-18 03:20:59 UTC
we need to make sure this doesn't occur with the V3 plugin... by making it PLUGINS!

Lowering to p4. Raise to p3 if we mess this up.

added note to http://wiki.glassfish.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=GfinNB70. this probably will not be resolved for the v2 plugin.

changing the v2 plugin to address this issue is not a high priority
