In grid mode, new ee5, project, context menu -> Virtual Forms and create 2 (default) virtual forms and 
hit ok. Have to press the virtual forms icon in toolbar to get the legend to appear.

Compare this to a new ee5 project switched to flow mode: the virtual form legend appears immediately after creation.
It would be nice if it did the same thing in grid mode.
