I am able to reproduce this.

Exception happens when generic Java project is created with FX plugin installed.

This issue was fixed in the trunk.
Now there are no exceptions while choosing the main class for the JavaFX Application.

Verified in Netbeans 6.0 Beta1 with JavaFX plugin version 1.0.2
