Hi,

After you run NB in the multi-user mode for the first time the samples are 
copied as well. When you remove the samples dir it stays removed.

So what's the bug? The samples directory is supposed to be added to ~/nbuser or
whatever when you first run the IDE (in multi-user mode). This has always been
true though the mechanism has changed somewhat for 3.2 (now done by usersguide
module rather than launch script).
