The only available actions are New Build, Synchronize, Open in Browser, Remove and Properties.
In properties dialog I can only change the autosynchronization time but neither the name of the instance nor the URL.

Right, name & URL are not modifiable on an existing instance. For now you can simply remove the server and readd.
