Any ideas from core team? Passing to Marek to try to reproduce on Solaris... suggest as a baseline, to try it using nb551 and jdk 5 and 6 first, to make sure it works ok with that. suggest logging in to solaris at the login screen and choosing ja locale (dont choose ja utf8 for this experiment) ken.frank@sun.com This must be clearly defined where it is not possible because in eg. New Project wizard value of field "Project Name" is strictly checked to avoid problems with portability between locales/platforms. So current Summary is completely useless. Somewhere it might be by design somewhere it might be bug. I will try to locate code which is responsible for checking "Project Name" value. Now I have NO idea where it could be.... This problem is not seen using recent nb6 on solaris, so am resolving this issue. ken.frank@sun.com v |
