I often have more than 6 files open at one time. With so many files open the
tabs at the top of the editor window often needs to be able to scroll left and
right. It often feels tedious to either scroll left or right (or click the
dropdown and select the file from that list) (or Ctrl-Tab between different
files). I want to be able to click directly on the file tab.

Some applications allow the tabs to be stacked. Even old Windows dialogs have
stacked rows of tabs that can be selected. I don't think this is look and feel
is that unheard of.

It would be great if NetBeans would have an option to provide for a stacked tabs
look and feel to its file tabs.

Thanks,
Brent

Stacked tabs are available in the nightly builds.
