I personally don't see any added value that would enhancement bring. Currently with Ctrl+Tab list, Documents list (Shift+F4) and mouse dropdown list in upper right corner of editor area I think that tabs reordering should be restricted to minimum or not needed anymore. Therefore regular DnD support is enough IMO for there rare cases when reordering is needed, closing. Please feel free to reopen if you can provide frequent use cases where such enhancement would help you. Well, I often find myself wanting to group the visible tabs by related functionality. I also often have something like 30-50 tabs open at once so browsing the tab list is not convenient. I want to be able to see the related tabs at once. Grouping the tags to the end feels most logical to me. To achieve this I have to do the following: 1. select tab 2. do "select in files" 3. close tab 4. open the file again Thus, a feature that would send the current tab to the end of the list would be most welcome. Of course I'd also settle for a general macro system that would allow me to automate any sequence of actions like this. ;) (For me this is a frequent use case, so I'll be bold and reopen this issue. If you still think this would be useless then just close it again but at least I've now added my support for this feature.) |
