[ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_02 ]

I'm pleased to see that in NB 4.1 it's possible to change to tree view for project packages. But I don't like having the "Folder"-Icon for packages instead of the "package"-Icon (The four parts square thingy). The reasons why I don't like folder icon for packages (in project view) is:
- the 'project' view looks nearly like the 'file' view then.
- A package is in a Java sense 'more' than a folder (I thinking of visibility of class members). This should be honored by a special icon
- in Package-view (one line per package)there's the package icon. Why two icon for the same object type?

Jano? I'd say yes. But probably not for 4.1? Or even for 4.1?
Comment 2 jrojcek 2005-04-04 17:28:32 UTC
Yes, the icon should be "Java Package" icon, not the folder icon. See the spec.
Comment 3 Milan Kubec 2008-10-16 13:43:53 UTC
This could be be considered as a defect.
