Let me think about this and play with the functionality. I'm afraid that introducing a whole new concept (Validate) that is not in the vocabulary of the web app developer will not push them to use the action just because it has a shortcut. True, they may learn to use it (from trial & error, docs, or the nbusers forum =) but I'm considering some of the broader implications. As far as I understand - Validate will not check java scriplets in the page, will not create the .class file, and Build All or Compile All actions will not trigger Validation of jsp pages.
