the maven-indexer doesn't provide such information AFAIK. Well I was just thinking, when the indexer is running, then you can see all the files that are being indexed.... and you probably could also figure out how many files in the index, since that's what it is downloading... Then you only would need to count them... This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
