This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 153286, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

Installed JRebel plugin,.. and restarted IDE to finish installation.
Plugin got installed and started working. Later on, I restarted my computer entierly (without manually closing NetBeans).
When I launched  NetBeans next time, exception got thrown.

I'm not sure what might be wrong as I'm not able to reproduce this, so at least I have added more logging.
