absolutely useless graphic comparison contents of files

Why subversion-commit-window is so small and modal? I can't classically
maximize this window. Graphic comparison the contents of files in so small window
it's absolutely useless. See the picture...

PS: sorry for my english :]
Comment 1 Ondrej Vrabec 2012-10-13 19:33:10 UTC
then resize it, where is the problem?
Comment 2 wachler 2012-10-13 19:48:48 UTC
please, see the picture - maximize button is missing (probably because window is modal ?)
Comment 3 Ondrej Vrabec 2012-10-13 21:15:53 UTC
True, it cannot be maximized because it's modal, but you can resize it with mouse dragging the lower left corner, can't you?
Comment 4 wachler 2012-10-13 21:55:10 UTC
Yes I now, but every time ? Really ? Windows have a keyboard shortcut "Alt+Space - X" - without maximize button - does not work.

A completely different story is dragging the lower left corner or window (no-)frame in Linux = lottery

No, once will be enough. Next time you commit the size and position of the dialog is set according to your last preferences. So if you open the dialog for the first time, resize it and push commit, next time the dialog will be the same as you left it.

does not work for me - next commit-window - original (small) size (in Windows 7 and Ubuntu)

In that case attach the messages.log (http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqLogMessagesFile) after the commit dialog is opened for the second time and a subversion module config file: HOMEDIR\AppData\Roaming\NetBeans\7.2\config\Preferences\org\netbeans\modules\subversion.properties
It works for me on Windows 7, but maybe you're resizing the panel too much, the size is limited to screen bounds, so do not resize it to its maximum, leave somo space on all sides.
Comment 8 wachler 2012-10-15 07:01:09 UTC
You're right, it works, thanks, but still - the maximize button is the better solution. This procedure is not intuitive - unsystematic.

"...do not resize it to its maximum, leave somo space on all sides." - nobody knows (like me).
