Description kokaku 2002-02-18 16:16:29 UTC
Currently, to access the Fonts&Colors dialog, the user must go through the menu (3 clicks), the
options tree (3 more clicks), and finally open the Fonts & Colors dialog (2 more clicks) - 8 clicks
total.

I suggest that the user can right-click the Editor window, select 'Change
Fonts&Colors' - 2 clicks total and much more convenient. The system would check the document type
and open the appropriate Fonts & Colors dialog (e.g. an HTML doc would open the HTML Editor Fonts &
Colors whereas a Java doc would open the Java Editor Fonts & Colors).

In general NB should have
more direct access to dialogs by placing them closer to the context. This has the benefit of
quicker access, easier use, and the user is not required to remember where a setting is located.

The Fonts & Colors settings are part of the redesigned Tools-Options. We do not
plan to make them directly accessible throught the editors popup menu.
