Bug 195054

Summary: Syntax Highlighting Randomly Disappears
Product: editor Reporter: nrml
Component: Painting & PrintingAssignee: Miloslav Metelka <mmetelka>
Status: CLOSED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal CC: juhrik, mmirilovic
Priority: P2
Version: 7.0
Hardware: PC

Issue Type: DEFECT Exception Reporter:
Attachments: messages log from yesterday

Description nrml 2011-02-03 23:21:14 UTC
Very similar to this bug: http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=183709

But, for 7.0.

Visible code becomes plain text and loses all syntax highlighting. The code lower in the buffer looks fine and selecting / un-selecting the plain text restores syntax highlighting.

Could you please try to reproduce the problem in a recent dev build from http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latest/ ? Thanks.
Comment 5 Vladimir Voskresensky 2011-02-07 11:44:09 UTC
Hi Mila,

I'm getting it quite often in daily builds for java and c++ files as well.
What kind of messages should I track in log to help you?
I don't know exact way to reproduce it.
Comment 6 Miloslav Metelka 2011-02-09 16:04:49 UTC
Hi Vladimir,
does the highlighting disappear after any concrete action or just randomly?
Please check if there are any lexer-related exceptions in the log or basically what exceptions are there if any.

Hello, isn't this similar to #195855? Will the logging mentioned in that issue help to diagnose this one as well?
