Re-opening this issue - is occurring again in 6.8 Reference http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=157682 - have had this issue for some time.

In both webapp and jar projects, I add a new java class file in the source
directory. Then select CVS-> show changes
for the project. The new file is displayed as locally new.
But if I double-click it in the list of changed files, the diff window
momentarily displays it, then it disappears
from the diff window and from the list of changed files, and is automatically
marked as ignored.
If I select CVS->show changes for the project again, it is un-marked as ignored
and added back to the list of changed
files.
Being in the habit of double clicking each changed file in the list to review
the changes just before I commit, this
is annoying that it automatically marks new files as ignored.
Is this intentional CVS/Netbeans behaviour?
