Simplest way to see this is to run netbeans as:

netbeans --laf com.sun.java.swing.plaf.nimbus.NimbusLookAndFeel --fontsize 20

If you do this, then you see that not everything seems to take on this new font size.

well, so after longer talk with mvanek, we realized that this issue is related to some look&feels only.
