We need help from Nimbus team to make that work. Changing "defaultFont" in UIManager does not work.

We did not get any working solution from Nimbus team so setting TM to future.

This is also true for the gtk look on linux and nimus on linux.

the look and feel implementation in jdk must provide some sort of hook to allow font size customization. at the moment it reads font settings from os preferences only.
