This is already being tracked as another issue. Thanks for your report anyway! *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 146161 *** Actually it isn't duplicate. I installed latest RC1 and found there only 30 plugins, but they should be much more. And as I wrote "For build from the trunk everything is fine", so the problem is in UC and not only for the Sakila. "Sakila Sample Database" plugin is not listed in the plan for NB 6.5 UC: http://wiki.netbeans.org/NB65StableModulesUC therefore it is not available. Plugin has to go through the standard procedure in order to get published on the UC. Module developer has to request the publishing. I went through the AUC standard procedure, and got approved, request id #417 Here is the email that was sent on my behalf: Dear AU masters, I turn to you in the hope of getting my module(s) published on your NetBeans Auto Update Center. Please process this request in a timely manner and keep me informed about its progress. Thank you, david.vancouvering@sun.com ______________________________________________________________________ Request ID: #417 Version: 6.5 Type: stable Module: Sakila Sample Database License: NetBeans GPL+Classpath/CDDL dual license Description: This modules plugs into the NetBeans MySQL support in the Database Explorer, making it possible to easily create the Sakila sample database from within NetBeans. For more information on Sakila see http://forge.mysql.com/wiki/SakilaSampleDB Username: davidvc Company: Sun Microsystems, Inc. P1 defects: No P2 defects: No Internationalized: Yes Translate: Yes 3rd party code: Yes Patentable: No Encryption/security: No URL: http://wiki.netbeans.org/SakilaSampleDatabasePlugin Comments: The third-party code is the Sakila SQL. It has already been approved by Sun Legal - contact Darin Reick for details. I believe this fell through the tracks. We need to have this plugin on the Stable AUC. What do we do to get this done? If I remember right, Jiri tried to set this up with the beta release, but the plugin relies on changes that were done after beta. I *thought* he said he'd get this set up when we made the FCS branch. OK, now "Sakila Sample Database" plugin is available on AUC for the RC1. Verified. |
