I think it would be reasonable to keep path in userdir and always take it from there. That would make IDE more stable (not depending on console it's run from etc). The PATH environment variable can be used while the first run of IDE (with a fresh userdir) or can be imported to IDE (reset to default path) via Tools->Options->C/C++ window. *** Issue 121971 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Did you go through usability review? This is indeed approach of programs from 80s. Please fix it immediatly This is a very serious usability issue and should be definitely resolved in NB 6.1 *** Issue 123748 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 128534 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** This has been fixed as part of the tool chain setup rewrite in 6.1. New tool sets can be created and added to the list of available sets. New sets are specified by their base directory, name, and their type (GNU, Sun, ...) and the PATH is no longer used when adding new sets. All settings are persistent. verified in build 20080314 |
