Bug 113962

Summary: Let the user know that project properties shows only supported servers
Product: javaee Reporter: Sherold Dev <sherold>

Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT Exception Reporter:

Description Sherold Dev 2007-08-28 10:16:51 UTC
Project properties shows a list of servers which the project might use as a target server. Users are not aware of that
fact that the list does not always show all registered servers but only those which are able to run the given project.
They tend to think that it is a bug.

The dialog should somehow tell the user that some of the servers might not be in the list.

The same issue applies to all Java EE projects and also to the "resolve missing server" dialog.
Comment 1 Tomas Mysik 2007-09-18 13:26:48 UTC
I agree - the only question is *how* to tell it.
Comment 2 David Konecny 2007-10-05 11:02:48 UTC
This is enhancement not defect.

tmysik, do we have some HIE engineer who could share his opinion on this?
Comment 3 Tomas Mysik 2007-10-05 12:28:14 UTC
I don't know, probably Jan Rojcek - am I right, Petr? Thank you.
Comment 4 Petr Jiricka 2007-10-05 12:38:48 UTC
Yes, ask either Jano or Ondra Langr.
